How to Support NCTC or A Students
Adopt A Project
If your church or organisation would like to be part of our vision by adopting one of our projects, we would love to hear from you. This is a great chance for individuals, youth groups and clubs to get involved. You could Adopt A Project and come and help with the project, or leave it to us to build or plant your project.
List of Projects:
1. PIG PEN: Approx. $ 1500.00
This will give us the materials to build a pig pen for food and income
for our centre.
2. Students Bungalow (Low Cost Eco Lodge) $10,850
This Student Lodge will house 10 students
3. Water Tank $1,500
We have a great need for many of these water tanks.
4. Composting Toilet and Shower System (2 units) $2,500
List of Micro Projects:
1. GREENHOUSE: Approx. $ 650.00
We are looking at using hydroponics. We already have the shade cloth and
this has already been made up, and most of the framing has been bought.
We however still need the pipe works, tank, fertilisers etc. The clearing
of the site for this will be done this week.
2. FISH POND with floating DUCK PONTOON: Approx. $650.00
We are looking at farming small fish as well as doing ducks. The manure
from the ducks, goes into the fish pond and helps to produce algae/duck
weed, which then helps to feed the fish and the ducks. The pond will be
dug this week. Adult ducks cost approximately $12 - $15 for females, $20
- $25 for males. Two of our students already have a male & 3 female
ducks, we would like a few more females and breed them to sell.
3. FRUIT TREES for ORCHARD: Approx. $550.00
Our aim is to plant approximately 100 Fruit Trees. These trees can be
purchased for approximately $5.00 per tree. Perhaps you would like to
sponsor an individual tree or such. We will also need to set up a watering
system.
4. BEE EQUIPMENT & HIVE: Approx. $500.00
We presently have two hives but need a couple of suits, a smoker and a
comb, we would also like to increase our number of hives. A box with a
queen and colony is approx. $120.
5. A COW & CALF: Approx. $400.00
