What has happened to the time. Busy, busy !!! Without a doubt, these last few months have seen great progress made at the NCTC site as The Northern Christian Training Centre begins to take shape. What an awesome job Chuck, with Sue at his side have done. In April we ran a 5-week Boat-Building Course and built the NCTC's Alpha - a 20ft fishing boat. It is a great boat and has brought great joy to us all - providing means to catch fish for our students and staff as well as welcome breaks from work for recreation. Chuck, along with our boys and with help from visitors from Toowomba City Church (Chuck & Sue's home church) and others from overseas, is running a 12-week Appropriate-Technology Course which has been attended by young men from different parts of Fiji. These boys have worked very hard and have learnt much in the time they have been with us. The Course shows them how to build a bungalow/kitchen (to be the first of our student bungalows), toilets, showers, and soon - a water tank and stove/oven to follow. I have great delight in teaching biblical studies to nine very hungry young people from different churches. These students are such a pleasure to teach. Each day the presence of God is very strong in class. I am really enjoying teaching them all. We have also had some great ministry visit us. Firstly - Geoff Kean, senior pastor of Creek St Christian Fellowship (my home church in Bendigo), came and ministered in April, putting fire into the hearts of many; NCTC students and hungry people from different churches attending the morning sessions at NCTC, then again at the nightly meetings at the various churches in the area. Then in May, there was David and Margaret (The Wife) McCracken - as she was introduced again and again. The McCracken's conducted a Pastors and Leaders Seminar which was well attended by people from the many different churches. Their proven experience in ministry over many years was of great help and encouragement to many pastors and leaders. In June, Max Palmer from NZ - accompanied by Bruce Evans (the computer master) from Nadi also ministered in NCTC and met up with lots of pastors in our area and around the South Pacific, and checked out on the progress at our NCTC site (while Bruce layed hands on the many sick computers amongst the various churches). Always so good to see Max around the place. June also saw four very fast and good builders from Toowoomba City Church in Queensland Australia (Chuck and Sue's Home Church); Scott Shelton, Jack Genge, Keith Windus and Michael Alletson. Our students could not believe how fast these guys worked - sure was not Fiji Time. Our boys kept up very well, although after the team left the following week they where a bit slower than they had been. In the first two weeks of June I went to Suva to speak at quite a few places sharing on the NCTC vision. This was a very good trip and it is looking very hopeful for our next lot of funding for our student bungalows. It is so exciting how God goes before us and prepares a way for His work to be done. Ratu Osea Gavidi arranged for me to speak at a lot of places. I was also able to meet quite a few government officials. Things are looking great. This month we had James and Brandy Simmons who came from Davenport, USA. James is a builder and he has been building a kitchen for our bungalow. This couple fitted in so well with both students and staff. We would all love to see them back with us in the near future. Next week we're expecting Jeff and Annette Hammond from Indonesia to come and minister in NCTC and in the churches in the area. Also a team of builders/preachers from Graymouth, NZ. As you can see, we have had a full lot of months since I last wrote to you all. A few things we would love you all to pray about - firstly; for the next lot of funding for NCTC, as the bank account is almost zero at the moment. Also for an administrator - as we all are working so hard, this would sure take the pressure off us a lot! I have also re-vamped our NCTC website. I can now see what they charge so much to do one, hours and hours of work, but well worth it in the end. Now we will be able to post our workteams photos on the site for friend and family back home to see what the guys with us are up too. Check it out, site www.christiantrainingcentre.org
