How to Support NCTC or A Students

Marion November 2006 Newsletter

Bula everyone,
Well what a year this one has been. I see 2006 as being the most significant year since the commencement of The Northern Christian Training Centre in 1999, in regards to bringing into being of the NCTC vision and indeed plans and purposes of God for NCTC.

At the commencement of the year we started the NCTC training church, without a doubt best thing we have ever done. This gave our students a place for the outworking of their calling in God, and the developing of ministries and talents. This has seen an amazing growth in our students, as each one is given opportunities to preach, do offering teaching, communion, worship lead, testify, learn musical instruments, operate a sound system, and have first hand exposure how to run a church. The presence of the Lord and anointing in the place has been overwhelming. Obviously God loves the idea as well, His presence is so strong in the place. I have seen development of ministry through this Training Church escalate ministry into their calling, what would of taken 3 years I am now seeing in 3 months. Thank you Lord !!!!!!!! It is all His working in these students.

New buildings: This year we have constructed a girls amenities block, a new piggery, and the commencement of a new agruictural project, allowing us to produce food for the centre and also to train students in mico business projects, construction of Koko' house (still some more to go), the building of a new 4,000 gal water tank, composting toilet and wash room (Koko's house).

Outreaches: This year has seen us go into the community much more than any other year, and in the coming year this will increase further. On Friday night we have a youth night where we see youth from the nearby villages come and hear the word and have other youth activities like games, sports nights, scavenger hints etc…. the joy from these night can be heard for miles. Sunday night is an outreach night, where many youth form nearby villages come and hear the upbeat modern music, and inspired preaching from the NCTC students. This night has chanced so many lives. We have also done an outreach at All Saints Secondary School, and at the Labasa Hospital Fellowship (every Monday for November), this was amazing to see some very top doctors, nurses and administration staff come to hear young people minister, they where truly shocked at what they heard, the singing was amazing, and the preaching from Martin (our Solomon Island young man) was so fantastic - all I can say was God turned up big time. Again we see an amazing anointing present at all these outreaches. I see this year as a preparation time for the great things that is to come.

Door to Door Ministry: This year we have gone from door to door in the area. The students bring back great reports of healings, demonic spirits being cased out, and many many reports of people receiving salvation. The fields are truly ripe for harvest.

Restructure of Staff: Earlier this year Chuck and Sue talked to me about a vision they have had to go into the villages with the healing of the land group near Suva, for the next two years, and help them do projects like composition toilets, low cost housing etc... So they will not be renewing their work permit with NCTC in 2007. All of us at NCTC wish them all the very best with their new venture. Chuck and Sue will be leaving NCTC after graduation, Chuck has offered to come and do a project for us here and there as his time permits should we need him. Chuck has pioneered the NCTC site and buildings to date, and both he and Sue have worked tirelessly for the vision.

God has raise up such great local staff from within NCTC. Koko is now Site manager, what a blessing this young man is, and Vash is head of all agricultural projects, Rani is in charge of the hostile. Sai (one of the trustees of NCTC) has taken over all the NCTC books, and has Nathaniel and Shelly on her administration team. Tia and Buddy are in charge of the workshop and equipment. Take' is our handy man, Martin (our Solomon Island young man) is now pastor of the NCTC students, what a dynamic preacher he is. This would have to be my greatest joy, to see our students taking over these responsibilities.

2006 Graduation: On the 16th of November 2006 we will have 15 students who will receive certificates for completing studies with us for 2006. Many of these students will come back for the following year, to continue their 3 year course or to complete it.

Plans in 2007: All I can say is look out Satan we are after you. I see this coming year as being one that will see us going after the soul of youth where ever we find them. I can see NCTC students going into many more villages, settlements and islands in this coming year. Already we have plans to go into Rabi Island, and a nearby village to do big crusades.

Buildings in 2007: We have a confirmed work team from NZ coming in July next year who will construct a student bungalow, another church in Australia is currently raising money to construct a bungalow. We are also believing God for the funds to build a much much needed Multi Purpose Hall, to run all the youth programs and church, our little classroom is so overcrowded.
