Bula to you all,
Waw !!!!!!!!! what a busy lot of months we have all had since I last
sent out a report of the happenings on NCTC.
Our 15,500 gal water storage tank and Agricultural/Coconut Press shed
are now completed. Our NCTC site is really taking shape, with more buildings
and development of the site. We have planted many fruit trees, and local
flowers and plants. The dream and vision is now a reality.
We also had some great people visit us over the past few months, Geoff
Kean from Australia, Heather Mole from Australia, Rob and Jenny Davison
from NZ, Jo Miller from NZ, Anne Morrow, Lia Van Klink from NZ, Stan
and Carol Steward with a great team from Gore NZ, our friends from Palmer
Chiropractic Clinic USA.
Hong Kong Container Free: God has really been showing off over the past
few months. After lots and lots of work sending off e-mails and letters,
this week we took delivery of a 20' container from Hong Kong full of
the most amazing donated goods. If we had to buy them in Fiji it would
cost us around $50,000 FJD. God was amazing, we raised funds for transportation
of this container and all the money raised was just enough to cover
all our costs. This whole exercise was one miracle after another as
God touched hearts to give. A big thank you for all our friends who
gave to this venture a great investment into our project. What should
have costed us around $12,000 to $15,000 FJD to get this container from
Hong Kong to Fiji then to Labasa, ended up costing us around $5,000
FJD and we get to keep the container. All the transport costs from Hong
Kong to Fiji were totally free. Can you believe it, the shipping company
gave free passage to our container all the way from Hong Kong to Fiji
worth $6,000-$7,000FJD, port costs in Hong Kong were free, transportation
from the holding yard in Hong Kong to the wharf was free. We were able
to purchase a container in Hong Kong which we are now using to store
our goods in at our NCTC site. Costs in Fiji were cut as well, from
Suva to Labasa costs were cut by $2500 on quoted prices, so after paying
VAT and all the other costs, we ended up with just enough money.
The week before we transported the container to our NCTC site the rain
had been constant, and we were all wondering how the 10 wheeler truck
with side lifter would manage to get up to our NCTC site. The truck
with the container onboard got stuck on our driveway, so we ended up
getting a digger and truck to help pull it up to our site, what amazing
skill and patience all the drivers displayed to get the container on
site, right where we wanted it. The unpacking was all done by our hardworking
students, even on the day of unloading the container, there was a lot
cloud cover, making it quite cool to work in the open. Usually it is
very hot. I felt like all our Christmas came at once as much needed
tools, building supplies, toilets, basins, chairs, desks, fridges, washing
machine, linen, household equipment, computers, air conditioners etc….
just so much stuff kept coming out of the container. These goods are
of the highest quality, most of these goods far better than we can get
within Fiji.
Love hanging around with God watching Him do his stuff I just love for
our students to see it all, man they are faith guys I tell you. Look
out South Pacific - it is yours Jesus !!!!!!!! Our NCTC students have
prayed for this container each step of the way. After God has proven
Himself so faithful in the many NCTC projects, it has birthed such faith
and anticipation for God to do the impossible in every area in the hearts
of our students. We are now in the time for the super-natural to be
such a common occurrence for all those who will dare believe. I'm daring
you Lord !!!!!!!!! I dare you to show off even more Lord !!!!!!!!!!!
It was great to see our students pray just before we opened the container,
"Lord this is just the beginning of even greater things".
etc…. Awesome !!!!!!!!!!! and it is. More Lord More !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agricultural/Coconut Shed up and running: With our Agricultural Shed
now finished, our coconut press in now up and running and we are now
training our students and local people in the area - how to extract
coconut oil. This will be a great project to bless the area as well
as NCTC. When the Australian coconut press consultant was with us, they
tested the oil content of the coconuts that are supplying our press.
He said the coconuts we got had the highest oil content they have ever
seen any where in the world that they have been. God doing His stuff
!!!!!!!!!!!
NCTC serving the community: We had a team of Chiropractors come and
do free clinics. We took them all over the country side. They have helped
thousands of people - so many people have no money to get to town to
see them, so we went to the people. So good to help the poor people
(the love of Jesus in action). God has placed along side us some awesome
pastors and people and we all work together with all of this sort of
stuff. You know I think we are the most blessed missionaries in the
world to have such awesome people to work with like this. Thank you
Lord !!!!!!!!!!!!
Scholarship worth $150,000 USD: We were also able to help one of our
local pastors daughters get a scholarship to Palmer Chiropractic College
in Davenport USA. This scholarship is worth well over $100,000 USD,
and thanks to the commitment of a really great church in the area they
have given free accommodation to her while she will be studying in the
USA, as well as a Suzuki 4X4 for her use. What great blessings for a
very faithful family. All of this would be worth well over $150,000
USA if the cost had to be paid. How faithful God is. Our girl has topped
the class in her exams quite a few times since she has been there as
well. Not bad for a girl from Labasa I say !!!!!!!!!
Students at NCTC
NCTC students are amazing. We are so blessed to have them, such amazing
potential in them. They are from all over the place - Lautoka, Savusavu,
Rabi, Drekiti and the Labasa area.
One morning Young Koko came in to class with tears in his eyes. They
had just come from St Mary's where they all do devotion in the school.
The whole class of over 40 kids, but 4 stood to their feet and prayed
with our NCTC students to ask Jesus into their hearts. How is that,
all the NCTC students could not stop talking about it and how God touched
the kids (class 6)
Peter, one of our ex-NCTC students and part of our team in Labasa, told
me he went out into the Bulileka area (he is now looking after the church
there) and just in one day of going from house to house, two stroke
victims where totally healed, a blind eye that had battery acid burnt
in it and for many years could not see, was totally healed, and also
a lady with a bad knee was totally healed.
Roslyn was away one morning, when she came to school she testified.
She went to the doctors earlier on in the week, as she was coughing
up blood. They xrayed her and the doctor told her she had lung cancer,
she said 'I will not have lung cancer either now or ever in the future.
So she went away and was to come back in a few days, when she did, the
doctor took another x-ray and said, "where is the cancer, I do
not understand this, it is all gone, but it was there'. Roslyn said
'Doctor God has healed me and I will never have lung cancer not now,
not ever. Good stuff hay !!!!!!!!!!
Presenter Program for computer donated. We had a need for a great program
for our songs, the cost of which was around $300 AUD, so as I thought
about it I thought, no I am not going to pay for that, I will write
to the company and ask if they would like to donate it to us. God is
Great and they replied and said Yes you can have the program free, and
the guy said in the e-mail "There must be some of my grandfather's
blood in me. He was a missionary to Fiji many years ago". God bless
this company Lord !!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!
NCTC Needs: At the moment we seem to have so many financial needs hanging
around us, like the finishing off of our stone bungalow etc. In the
light of all that God has done over the last few months, it seems so
small…. over to you God !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please pray with us for all these
needs. We are also believing God for two new bungalows, a Multi Purpose
Training Hall and the finances for a full time administrator by the
first of March 2005. Without any idea where the funds will come from
for any of these needs we are giving God a great opportunity to show
off !!!!!!!!! I dare you Lord to show off in all these needs, even beyond
what we have asked for.
Sponsorship of our NCTC students for 2005: If any one would like to
sponsor a student for 2005, I have students all over the place wanting
to come to us. I just got word from Lautoka that there are 3 girls wanting
to come to us next year, let alone Rabi, Savusavu etc... and our Labasa
area. Lots keep asking me if they can come and study at NCTC. It is
quite overwhelming really at times, no need to advertise I tell you,
God is doing His own advertising now as the fruit of the changed lives
of our students has spoken to so many. This year I have seen the power
of God dramatically change the lives of our students.
With the various agricultural projects we are doing now and our coconut
press, we have been able to cut some of the costs down for our student.
Last year we asked for $32 a week (this covers food and accommodation)
so it is good we can keep the costs down a bit, and when we get a market
for our coconut oil and soaps we will be able to cut it more I am sure.
If anyone wants to make a deposit each month, to help support a student
or students for 2005, or pre pay for the 2005 year we would love to
hear from you. It all helps, even the smallest monthly donation will
help. We have a students fund that is only used to support and feed
our students.
Costs per student for 2005: 35X$25 - $875, $80 for fees Total $995.00
FJD per year
Bless ya. Marion.
