On the 1st of June 1999. The Northern Christian Training Centre became a reality. With no land, or facilities, classes commenced in a church hall in Labasa town. Today NCTC is a fully equipped training centre, built on a beautiful hill overlooking the sea and sugar cane fields. NCTC Provides Biblical Vocational Training, as well as a newly opened Primary School. Equipping the South Pacific.
On the 26th of January 2010 NCTC Primary School commenced classes. Class One and Two are currently enjoying a newly built classroom, playground and toilet block on the NCTC complex. This classroom etc... was built by the dedicated staff and students of the NCTC Vocational Training Centre.
The Northern Christian Training Centre is a grass roots project aimed at providing a way out of the poverty cycle for the people of Fiji and island nations of the South Pacific.
Courses Available:
Three year course - 9 months per year. Incorporating:
Mornings - Biblical studies, Christian Ethics, Character and life skills
Afternoons - The students are given an introduction to many practical skills. e.g. bee keeping, honey wax candles, coconut soap and fragrant oils, carpentry, mechanics, animal husbandry, crafts, agriculture and appropriate technology.
